Pastor Toure Roberts has delivered a powerful message, urging Christians to embrace love and forgiveness as guiding principles in their lives. With heartfelt conviction, he reminded his audience of the need to stay anchored in God’s love, even in challenging situations.
“Keep your love hot,” Pastor Roberts began. “Come on, baby, we gotta learn how to keep our love.” Admitting that dealing with difficult people isn’t always easy, he said, “I know it’s so easy. Let me tell you, some people get on my last nerves too. I am human.”
He emphasized the importance of rising above negativity. “When they go low, I don’t go low down there with them. When they go low, I go high and say, ‘God bless you. I love you,’ because the Bible says love will cover a multitude of sins.”
Pastor Roberts also highlighted the power of forgiveness as a proactive practice. “I forgave you before you flipped me off,” he shared. “I’ve already forgiven the person that’s going to cut me off, and I’ve already forgiven the person at work who drives me absolutely crazy.”
He cautioned against allowing the negativity of others to affect one’s spirit. “I can’t afford to get your yucky, your ugly, your demented and twisted spirit on me. I’ve got to stay clean,” he said.
