Sarah Jakes Roberts has delivered an empowering message, reminding her congregation that God’s promises are unbreakable, no matter the difficulties they encounter.
“There’s nothing you can do or say, nothing anyone can speak over you, that will change God’s commitment to you,” she stated, assuring listeners that despite personal challenges or feelings of shame, God’s promises remain constant.
She acknowledged that people may feel unworthy, but reminded them of God’s unwavering faithfulness: “You may have to work through your shame and forgiveness, but God is saying, ‘I will not break my promise.’”
She further emphasized God’s guidance in life, saying, “If I’ve promised that you will be okay after this, or that I will direct your steps in the next chapter, I will reveal parts of my character and your growth that will make it all worthwhile.”
Concluding with a strong message of hope, she urged: “Too many of us let God’s promises slip away. Don’t let go of what He has promised you.”
