TD Jakes Encourages Faith in God’s Power Amid Life’s Challenges

Renowned pastor and author TD Jakes has delivered a powerful message about how God’s work often emerges in the most challenging and seemingly impossible circumstances.

“God doesn’t do what’s easy,” he told the congregation. “He does what’s divine. It’s always going to be difficult.” He explained that the struggles and complexities in life are often signs of God’s work unfolding in ways beyond human comprehension.

He asked several thought-provoking questions to illustrate this, such as, “Why did God choose a barren woman to bring forth a prophet? Why did He use a young boy to defeat Goliath? Why did He call a backslider to preach the gospel?”

He continued, referencing biblical stories, saying, “Why did God use an elderly man to father Isaac? Why did He choose a virgin to give birth to Jesus? Why did Jesus ask a man with a withered hand to stretch it out?” Each example pointed to the idea that God’s actions often go against human logic.

The pastor also highlighted instances from the New Testament, saying, “Why tell a blind man to wash in a pool he couldn’t see?” He also asked, “Why tell a dead man to rise up from his grave?” These stories, he noted, show how God’s power operates in ways that transcend our understanding.

“You think it’s hard? That’s how you know it’s God,” he emphasized. “When it frustrates you, when it goes against the grain, that’s when you know it’s God.” His message resonated with the congregation, reinforcing the idea that God’s work is often revealed in the midst of life’s toughest moments.

He concluded by urging his listeners to have faith and trust in God’s plan, even when things seem impossible, as true divine intervention is often found through hardship.
