Apostle Femi Lazarus Says Respect Comes Through Productivity

Prominent preacher Apostle Femi Lazarus has delivered a powerful message addressing the connection between mindset, productivity, and respect in relationships. Speaking to his audience, he underscored the role of mental perceptions in feelings of being overwhelmed and the critical need for meaningful achievements to foster respect.

“The reason why you feel overwhelmed is because there is a finish line defined in your mind,” Apostle Lazarus explained. Using an analogy, he added, “If someone believes they’ve reached the finish line, the brain reduces the hormones responsible for their agility. It’s not a somatic issue—it’s a mental issue.”

He urged his audience to reconsider their views on success, challenging them to aim higher. “Many of you are not doing a quarter of what your destiny requires at this level,” he pointed out. “It’s because there are definitions of success around you that are myopic.”

Addressing relationships, Apostle Lazarus criticized a lack of ambition and preparation for greater responsibilities. “The reason why many of you boys are lazy is because you’ve never dated a successful girl. You’ve only dated church girls, and church girls are very accommodating,” he noted.

He also spoke about the dynamics of marriage, suggesting that respect, not love, is often missing. “Respect is earned through productivity,” he stated. “Sweetheart, if you continue like this, I love you. But the respect part? It’s lacking.”

Concluding his message, Apostle Lazarus stressed the importance of results in earning attention and admiration. “It doesn’t matter how spiritual you are. If you’re not producing, I don’t respect you. I love you, but I don’t respect you. When you speak, it doesn’t catch my attention because if that thing is powerful, it should have produced in your life.”
