Kemi Badenoch, leader of the Conservative Party in the United Kingdom, has disclosed that she no longer believes in God. Speaking on a podcast hosted by Bari Weiss, editor of Free Press, Badenoch candidly shared how her perspective on faith has shifted over time.

When asked directly if she believes in God, Badenoch responded, “Not anymore.” She explained that while she once held a belief in God, her views have changed. However, she clarified that she does not identify as an atheist but rather as “agnostic” and a “cultural Christian.”

Her comments sparked a range of reactions online. Some criticized her stance, with one user stating, “Even Trump, the most powerful man in the world, believes in God,” while another labeled disbelief in a creator as “crazy.” Conversely, others supported her view, with one user calling belief in God “delusion.”

Badenoch further explained her position, saying, “I don’t think it matters if people believe in God or not. What matters is what they do with the belief or the lack of it.”

This revelation follows other controversial remarks made by Badenoch, including her recent comments about Nigeria. She has distanced herself from the country’s northern Islamic region, saying she has “nothing to do” with it, and accused Nigerian police of stealing from citizens.

Badenoch’s statements continue to generate debate, highlighting her evolving views and their potential influence on public discourse.
