Joshua Selman Urges Believers to Embrace Perseverance

Apostle Joshua Selman has encouraged individuals to cultivate perseverance, adaptability, and readiness as key traits for overcoming life’s challenges. Speaking during a recent sermon, he pointed out that people who refuse to give up often find success, regardless of their circumstances.

“Have you noticed that people who don’t give up never end up in shame for some reason?” he asked his audience. “Have you seen people like that? As soon as one door closes, they have no time to mourn. They force another one to open.”

He described how resilient individuals quickly recover from setbacks and take proactive steps to improve their situations. “They are losing their job; they grieve for two hours and are up with their CV again. They have an E version, a hard copy—any version you want, they are prepared,” Selman explained.

Apostle Selman highlighted the importance of adaptability, sharing examples of people who are eager to learn new skills to seize opportunities. “Are you into real estate? They will say yes. In two nights, they will read about real estate more than people who have been in the field for 10 years because they will not let that opportunity go,” he said, adding that persistence often leads to unexpected breakthroughs.

Turning his focus to the Christian community, he urged believers to take action on the visions and mantles they believe God has given them. “Let me see what you are doing as proof that you believe what God showed you,” he said, challenging those who remain passive.

Apostle Selman also addressed the dangers of complacency, warning against a mindset of waiting for opportunities to come effortlessly. “For many of us, this is what we are doing. We are folding our arms, thinking one day the fathers will die, and it will be our turn. What sort of thinking is that?” he asked.
