The Need To Take Action In Faith-Archbishop Duncan-Williams

In a circulated sermon, Archbishop Nicholas Duncan-Williams mentioned that is important to read the Bible but it’s also important to apply its teachings actively in our everyday lives.

Referring to biblical principles, the Archbishop stated, “The Bible said with the heart, man believes unto righteousness, but with the mouth, confession is made unto deliverance”. Suggesting to enforce the notion that expressing one’s faith verbally is important to experiencing its transforming power.

The Archbishop explained that meditating on the Word of God is more important than just reading it. He said, “You have to learn how to apply, engage, and deploy what is written by your mouth,” which also highlights the important role of verbalizing one’s faith in the Lord.

Archbishop Duncan-Williams cautions Christians to put a stop to the habit of just reading scripture without taking action. He also encourages Christians to deepen their spiritual practices and engagement with Scripture.
