Pastor Benny Hinn Highlights Spiritual Journey

In a recent sermon, renowned pastor Benny Hinn has reflected on the spiritual significance of the Jordan River and the faith journey, drawing insights from the Biblical account of Elijah and Elisha. Pastor Hinn explained that Jordan symbolizes a place of vision and divine revelation.

“Jordan is the place of sight. So we have to pass through faith, we have to pass through death, we have to pass through the battle,” Hinn shared, emphasizing that reaching this spiritual milestone requires overcoming significant trials.

He recounted the moment when Elijah and Elisha crossed the parted waters, illustrating the process of divine empowerment. “When we do, the mantle falls,” Hinn declared, pointing out how Elijah’s mantle represented the transfer of spiritual authority.

Pastor Hinn also discussed the different spiritual stages Elisha had to go through, including Gilgal, Bethel, and Jericho. “He went through Gilgal walking by faith. He went through Bethel. He had to die to self. He went through Jericho and faced the enemy,” he explained, underlining how each location represented a different challenge on the path of spiritual growth.

The preacher emphasized that it was only after overcoming these stages that Elisha was able to ask for a double portion of Elijah’s spirit. “And once he won the moment he passed Jericho, and only then the word says ask,” Hinn pointed out. “If you’ve passed through Jericho, you can ask. And what did he ask for? Elijah said, ‘I pray thee, let a double portion of thy spirit be upon me.'”

Pastor Hinn’s sermon left a lasting impact on the congregation, motivating them to persevere through their own struggles, trusting that spiritual breakthroughs will follow.
