Joe Mettle Questions the Quality of Aircraft Serving Ghana

Joe Mettle

Ghanaian gospel musician Joe Mettle has raised concerns about the quality of airplanes operating on routes to Ghana compared to those flying to other African nations. The artist expressed his frustration in a recent post on X (formerly Twitter), where he questioned why Ghana often seems to receive subpar aircraft despite the high cost of tickets.

Joe Mettle highlighted his observation from travels across the continent, noting that planes serving Ghana often fall short of the standards seen in flights to neighboring countries. He questioned whether this discrepancy might be due to Ghanaians’ acceptance of these conditions without demanding better services.

In his post, he wrote, “Hi family. So there’s something that’s been bothering me and I wanted some help. I’ve had the privilege to travel a bit and realized that most of the planes that come to Ghana are not the best at all compared to the ones that go to other African countries, why is that?”

He also pointed out that even for shorter routes to other nations, airlines seem to prioritize better aircraft, leaving Ghana with fewer quality options despite the often steep ticket prices.

The gospel artist’s concerns have sparked discussions online, with many Ghanaians sharing similar experiences and calling for improvements in aviation services to the country.

Joe Mettle’s observations serve as a wake-up call for stakeholders in Ghana’s aviation industry to ensure that travelers receive the best possible service and value for their money.
