Jentezen Franklin Urges Faith Over Fear in Difficult Times

Pastor Jentezen Franklin delivered an uplifting message to his congregation, urging them to focus on the present rather than worrying about the future. “Don’t take thought about tomorrow when you’re going through hard times, because that’s what the enemy plays off of,” he said, highlighting how fear and anxiety can take hold during tough seasons.

Acknowledging the pressures of life, Franklin pointed out, “The fear is out there. The worry is out there. The torment in your mind is out there,” but reminded believers that they should not let these challenges define their journey. “This is a hard season I’m in,” he shared, recognizing that everyone faces difficulties.

Yet, his message remained hopeful. “You make up your mind right here. This day is the day the Lord has made,” he emphasized, quoting scripture to encourage perseverance. He reminded his audience that while tomorrow remains uncertain, we can control how we respond today. “I can’t control tomorrow, don’t know what’s going to happen tomorrow, don’t know what’s coming down the road. All I can do is say today.”

Concluding his sermon, he boldly declared, “Today, this day, I’m going to win this day,” encouraging all to embrace the strength of faith in the present moment.
