Apostle Joshua Selman, a respected Nigerian preacher, has highlighted the link between personal failure and the resentment some individuals harbor towards others’ success.
He described this as a common but often misunderstood emotional struggle. “When you fail in life, you get angry when you see others excelling,”
Apostle Selman explained during a recent sermon. “It’s something in your heart, which is that they come down to your level so that you can find comfort.”
He emphasized that the act of undermining others is often rooted in frustration rather than outright wickedness. “When you bring them down, you now feel bad because you were not wicked; you were just frustrated,” he noted, encouraging introspection and self-awareness.
Apostle Selman also reminded his audience to focus on growth and trust in God’s grace, saying, “Your goodness is running after,” as a testament to divine support in overcoming life’s challenges.
