Apostle Femi Lazarus Urges Christians to Embrace a Life of Sacrifice and Purpose

Apostle Femi Lazarus pointed out the importance of living for a cause greater than oneself. Speaking to his congregation, he challenged believers to consider how their daily activities and investments reflect their commitment to God’s purpose.

“If God is going to use you as a being of influence for His namesake, your life must not be centered around you,” Apostle Lazarus stated. He made us understand that true sacrifice and meaningful living require individuals to prioritize a cause that transcends personal desires. “You cannot sacrifice if all you live for is yourself,” he included, calling for a deeper understanding of what it means to contribute to the world.

Apostle Lazarus criticized the prevailing mentality of greed and self-interest that he believes plagues society. He cited alarming examples of individuals engaging in harmful behaviors, such as participating in rituals for financial gain, underscoring the destructive nature of a self-centered mindset. “What kind of mentality is that?” he questioned, highlighting the moral decay resulting from greed.

The Apostle urged his audience to reflect on their legacies. “What will you be remembered for? If you die today, what will be said about you?” he asked, provoking introspection among attendees. He urged believers to live with purpose, asking whose joy would be affected by their absence and encouraging them to consider their impact on others.

The Apostle’s sermon concluded with a powerful reminder: “What are you living for beyond your belly and your pocket?”
