Renowned Ghanaian gospel artist and ordained minister, Rev. Mavis Asante, widely known as Supreme Lady, is set to make a highly anticipated return to the music scene with the release of her new song next month. This announcement comes after an eight-year break since her last musical release.
Rev. Mavis Asante shared the exciting news with her followers on Facebook, where she posted stunning new photos along with a heartfelt caption. “After 8 solid years since my last release, I get to release my new song next month. It’s the doing of the Lord and I’m super excited to share this journey and everything with you,” she wrote. She also encouraged her fans to support her by subscribing to her YouTube channel and following her on social media platforms. Additionally, she revealed that her new website is almost ready for launch, though it can already be accessed by visitors.
The highly versatile artist, Mavis Asante began her music career in the early 2000s and quickly rose to prominence. In October 2009, she released her debut album, “Obaatan,” which featured the hit song “Aseda.” The album, filled with soul-uplifting and thanksgiving gospel tracks, solidified her status as a household name in the Ghanaian gospel music industry.
Over the years, Mavis Asante has garnered numerous accolades, including recognition from the “Ghana Youth Music Awards,” where she was honored as the Gospel Female Artist of the Year in June 2021. Her distinctive style and fashion sense also earned her the title of Fashion Icon of the Year at the 2023 “Time Ghana Arts and Entertainment Awards.”
