Apostle Femi Lazarus encouraged Believers to go beyond mere loyalty and spiritual practices and to instead develop practical wisdom that can make a difference in the world. During his sermon, he posed a thought-provoking question to his congregation: “If your Bible were taken away from you today, what practical wisdom do you have that can impact not only Christians but also the world?”
Lazarus criticized the habit of many believers to focus only on spiritual gifts, such as speaking in tongues, while neglecting the personal effort needed to contribute meaningfully in crucial areas of life. He emphasized that loyalty without personal investment is pointless, asserting that genuine loyalty must be coupled with the ability to add value.
The preacher pointed out that without proactive efforts and gaining knowledge, individuals will remain unchanged. “There is nothing about you that will change in the next ten years unless you make it happen,” Lazarus declared. He underscored the importance of being prepared with practical insights, referring to biblical figures like Daniel and Joseph, who effectively applied their wisdom in critical situations rather than relying solely on prayer.
Lazarus concluded by urging his congregation to take charge of their lives and futures. “We must think big thoughts to do big things,” he said, highlighting that waiting for an “invisible helper” without preparation is not a workable strategy. “Take responsibility!” he proclaimed, inspiring attendees to actively develop their skills and wisdom to have a significant impact in their communities.
