Pastor Sonnie Badu has highlighted the importance of trusting in God’s guidance, pointing out that divine instructions often come without a complete understanding of the future.
Reflecting on the story of Abraham, Pastor Badu explained how Abraham embarked on his journey with only faith to rely on. “God gives Abraham a promise and Abraham takes on a journey,” he shared.
He spoke about how Abraham, unsure of where he was headed, informed his wife, Sarah, of the journey ahead. “He tells his family, ‘I’ve heard from God, Sarah, get your stuff, let’s go,'” he said, noting that Abraham set off with all his belongings without knowing the destination.
Pastor Badu stressed that this uncertainty was part of God’s plan, as God often does not provide a full picture. “God doesn’t give you the full picture when he speaks to you because God doesn’t trust who’s gonna follow you,” he explained.
He cautioned that some people might try to derail your progress if they knew your purpose. “There are some people in life, when they know where you’re going, they’ll go ahead of you and destroy you there,” he warned.
Concluding his message, Pastor Badu emphasized that God’s desire is for believers to depend on Him. “God is a God that loves it when we depend on Him, when we rely on Him, when we are like kids,” he said.
His sermon encouraged listeners to trust in God’s plan, even when the path ahead is unclear.
