Pastor Priscilla Ashirer has shed light on the true nature of the Holy Spirit, addressing misconceptions and highlighting His divine essence and significance to believers.
“The Holy Spirit is not a ghost or a wind or a fire or a dove,” she stated, clarifying popular misunderstandings. “He is often symbolized by those things, but don’t minimize Him. That ain’t who He is.”
She described the Holy Spirit as “the third person of the Trinity,” emphasizing that this position does not signify lesser importance. “Not third because He is least in value, just third because He’s the last to be revealed to us in the pages of Scripture,” Pastor Ashirer explained.
Highlighting the Holy Spirit’s divine attributes, she said, “All of the power, all of the glory, all of the authority, all of the grandeur of God the Father is in the person of the Holy Spirit.”
Pastor Ashirer emphasized the transformative presence of the Holy Spirit in believers’ lives. “If you’re a believer, the Holy Spirit lives in you,” she declared. “That means all of the grandeur and all of the greatness, all of the authority of God Himself now lives on the inside of you.”
She also addressed the idea of seeking more of the Holy Spirit after salvation, dismissing it as unnecessary. “You are not waiting on more of the Holy Spirit,” she affirmed. “All of the Holy Spirit you’re ever going to get, you got the moment you got saved.”
