Rev. Eastwood Anaba: “Handling Rejection is Key to Success’”

Rev. Eastwood Anaba has recently reflected on the significance of developing resilience in the face of rejection and dishonor, which he considers crucial for both ministry and personal growth. Drawing from his own life experiences, he explained, “One of the things you will have to learn in the world is how to deal with rejection.”

He recalled how, as a young man, handling rejection was particularly tough, noting, “I remember when I was a younger person, [it was] very difficult to deal with rejection, very, very difficult to deal with rejection and deal with dishonor.”

In August, Rev. Anaba delivered a sermon series titled “How to Deal with Dishonor,” focusing on practical ways to navigate rejection and dishonor. “People will do many things to abuse you and reject you,” he said, stressing that the ability to handle these challenges is essential for achieving true success.

Ending on a hopeful note, he added, “If you don’t know how to handle it, you will never get that name—a dimension of which every knee will bow.” His words serve as a powerful reminder of the resilience needed to thrive amid life’s inevitable challenges.
