Founder of Remnant Christian Network, Apostle Arome Osayi has expressed his concerns over the increasing reliance on religious symbols that lack true spiritual depth.
Through his message, he reminds Christians that symbolic acts are hollow unless paired with a personal and practical relationship with Christ.
In an Instagram post titled “Beyond Collars, Cassocks, Metal Chains and Cross Pendants,” the well-known preacher highlighted that while many ministers, including himself, wear symbolic attire such as white collars and cassocks to represent their dedication to Jesus Christ, these outward signs mean little without genuine commitment.
“Having mere symbolisms without the real thing is tantamount to having form without power — the default mode of the pharisaic ministry — impotent at best,” he wrote, stressing the need for believers to actively embrace the Lord’s yoke in their daily lives rather than relying on external displays of faith.
He explained that the Lord’s yoke represents the “living consciousness of God’s government,” which deeply influences a person’s submission to Christ. “It keeps a person constantly hooked to God’s eternal purpose,” he said, likening the yoke to a compass that directs one’s focus toward God’s eternal plan.
