Nigerian preacher, Apostle Arome Osayi, has recounted a remarkable encounter in London where a young man received direct instructions from the Holy Spirit regarding his appearance.
During a sermon, he explained that he met a “tall young man” wearing earrings and shared God’s message with him before parting ways. The young man later decided to act on what he had heard, leading to an unexpected divine encounter.
“The voice of the Holy Ghost came to say, ‘If you want me to be close to you, can you take off those rings?’” he recalled, emphasizing that it was not just a personal realization but a direct instruction from the Holy Spirit.
He highlighted that as people grow in faith, the Holy Spirit begins to guide them more specifically. “The moment you start getting serious and He notices that you are becoming serious, He will give you commandments,” he explained.
According to him, the Holy Spirit told the young man, “You don’t look like me. The inspiration that led to this stuff that you have, did not come from my spirit.” He interpreted this as a clear distinction between influences that stem from God and those that come from other sources.
“If the inspiration did not come from His Spirit, it means it came from another spirit. That means obeying that spirit is affording that spirit the opportunity to invade your space,” he elaborated, warning about the spiritual implications of following influences outside of the Holy Spirit.
He further stressed the Holy Spirit’s desire for complete devotion, stating, “The Holy Spirit wants you all to himself, so He will give you commandments that will shut the door to every other spirit that is seeking to claim so that He can have you to himself.”
