Apostle Arome Osayi has cautioned against the growing practice of distorting biblical teachings to justify personal ideologies, emphasizing that the Scriptures remain unchangeable and cannot be subjected to private interpretation.
Speaking during a recent sermon, the leader of the Remnant Christian Network lamented how people have grown resistant to true dependence on God.
“In our day, dependence is a hard thing,” he noted. “People are hardened and have taken root in trespass, and they want to build a philosophy around trespass.”
He stressed that the Bible, being divinely inspired, cannot be manipulated to fit human desires.
“Scriptures are not capable of private interpretation, because prophecy did not come from the will of man,” Apostle Osayi stated. “So you cannot bend the Scriptures to your own will. Itβs too flexible to be bent.”
Highlighting the authority of the Bible, he warned that any attempt to alter its meaning would be exposed by other biblical passages.
“You cannot be creative with it. It has a will of its own, and the Scripture is saying something by itself,” he asserted. “Another witness somewhere will fault you.”
His remarks come amid concerns over self-styled preachers who twist the Bible for personal or financial gain. Many Christian leaders continue to urge believers to remain steadfast in sound doctrine rather than being misled by false interpretations.
