Renowned gospel musician and producer Nacee has reached a new milestone as his song Kwen Kwen, the official campaign anthem of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has risen to the top of Apple Music Ghana’s chart.
The song has resonated with Ghanaians nationwide, capturing the celebratory mood surrounding the 2024 presidential election results. The tune has become a rallying cry for NDC supporters, inspiring hope and unity as the nation anticipates official confirmation of the election results.
In a surprising development, Vice President and New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential candidate Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia conceded defeat on Sunday, even before the Electoral Commission’s official declaration. His concession paves the way for John Dramani Mahama, the NDC flagbearer, to return as President of Ghana. Dr. Bawumia congratulated Mr. Mahama and emphasized the importance of national unity moving forward.
The atmosphere at the NDC headquarters in Accra has been filled with jubilation, with supporters celebrating not only the anticipated victory but also the campaign’s success in mobilizing grassroots support. Many have credited the popularity of Kwen Kwen as a key factor in energizing the campaign and amplifying its message of change.
John Mahama, during the campaign, had praised Nacee for his exceptional talent in aligning his music with the party’s vision. Mahama commended the artist for his creativity, stating, “Nacee’s ability to use his music to inspire hope and rally people together is truly remarkable.”

While the Electoral Commission’s official announcement is still pending, provisional results from polling centers across the country suggest a clear victory for the NDC. The party is also projected to secure a parliamentary majority, further strengthening its mandate to govern.
As Ghanaians await the final results, the success of Kwen Kwen stands as a testament to the power of music in shaping political movements and inspiring a collective vision for the future.
