Apostle Orokpo Emphasizes Christians Are Gatekeepers

Apostle Michael Orokpo has called on Christians to rise to their divine responsibility as gatekeepers and preservers of their communities. Speaking passionately during a recent sermon, he stressed that Christianity is more than attending miracle services or seeking personal blessings.

“Christianity is beyond attending a miracle service and receiving a healing,” he declared. “When God plants you in a territory, He has hope that your life will be consequential in that herald. It’s a responsibility you must realize.”

Referring to Ezekiel 3:20, Apostle Orokpo highlighted the consequences of neglecting this responsibility. “When a righteous man turns from his righteousness and commits iniquity, and I lay a stumbling block before him, he shall die because you have not given him warning,” he explained. “His blood shall I require of your hand.”

He also quoted Paul’s statement in Acts 20:26-27 to underscore the importance of spreading the gospel. “Paul said, ‘I am pure from the blood of all men.’ Why? Because he did not shun from declaring the whole counsel of God. This is how Paul saw it, and this is how God sees it.”

Apostle Orokpo urged Christians to move beyond self-centered prayers for daily needs and focus on their higher calling. “You can’t keep quiet when the world is plunging into darkness and think it’s all about asking God for daily bread,” he admonished.

Citing 1 Corinthians 9:16, he emphasized the urgency of preaching the gospel. “A necessity is laid upon me. Woe unto me if I preach not the gospel.”

He concluded by encouraging believers to embrace their identity as spiritual custodians. “We are not part of the world population,” he said. “We are the salt of the earth, the preservation of this realm. Many don’t understand this truth, but it is a necessity for every believer.”
