We Decrease for Him to Increase – Apostle Femi Lazarus

Lead Pastor of Light Nation Global, Apostle Femi Lazarus has shared a profound message on love, forgiveness, and the significance of God’s presence in an Instagram post made on October 8, 2024.

Referencing 1 Corinthians 13:1, he underscored the futility of actions without love, saying, “If I speak with human eloquence and angelic ecstasy, but don’t love, I’m nothing but a creaking rusty gate.”

He cautioned that a troubled heart can render prayers ineffective. “There is a distortion that can happen in your soul, that your prayer is noise before the angels,” he explained, urging believers to seek a deep relationship with God. He further noted that God’s presence comes through self-denial. “We decrease for Him to increase,” he stated.

Using Joseph’s story, of how he was sold into slavery by his brothers, he emphasized the need to grasp God’s larger purpose. “Joseph had every human right to resent them… but he must understand that people can put you in pain, and God will still send you on a journey for them,” he remarked, stressing that forgiveness is crucial to moving forward.

He voiced that Joseph’s suffering was part of God’s plan to preserve Judah’s line, from which Jesus would come. “If your heart doesn’t heal, you will suffer in pain,” he warned, encouraging believers to open their hearts to love and forgiveness in fulfilling God’s purpose.
