On October 19, 2024, Rev. Regg Biney shared an inspiring message on Facebook, encouraging the practice of self-love and personal growth during periods of solitude. In her post, Rev. Biney emphasized that while God values covenant and community, He does not expect individuals to endure abuse or mistreatment for the sake of maintaining relationships.
“God does not endorse permanent human aloneness. He is a God of covenant and assembly. However, He also does not want us to subject ourselves to abuse, mistreatment, and demoralization for the sake of relationship,” Rev. Regg wrote. She stressed the importance of using periods of isolation to deepen one’s relationship with God and cultivate self-love.
Rev. Regg explained that when individuals invest in their spiritual and emotional growth during these seasons of isolation, they are better positioned to attract like-minded individuals who share their values. “When ‘God-love’ and ‘self-love’ increase, you eventually connect to a community that complements your life as opposed to complicating it,” she added.
She further encouraged her followers to recognize that a shrinking social circle is often a natural outcome of developing a healthier mindset, and with time, they will form meaningful, supportive relationships. “When you truly love yourself, loving others is easier,” she concluded, urging individuals to embrace the journey of self-care and personal improvement.
