Dr. Mensa Otabil Challenges Believers to Reflect on Their Spiritual Journey

Dr. Mensa Otabil gave out the importance of self-awareness in one’s spiritual and mental journey. He highlighted that God possesses complete knowledge of all things, and when He poses questions, it is not for information but to prompt reflection on what may have been overlooked.

Using the biblical account of Adam, Dr. Otabil stated that when God asked, “Where are you?” it was not about Adam’s physical location but rather a question of self-awareness regarding his spiritual state. “God knew where Adam was, but did Adam know where he was?” Dr. Otabil challenged his audience, urging them to consider their own spiritual and mental positions in life. He asked, “If God were to ask you where you are, would you know the answer?”

Dr. Otabil further emphasized the significance of understanding one’s direction in life. “At every point in time, you should be aware of where you are going,” he stated, noting that some individuals are on the right path while others may be veering off course. He referenced two biblical figures, including Hagar, who faced similar questions about their journeys, illustrating the necessity of clarity and purpose.Dr. Otabil encourages believers to engage in self-reflection about their spiritual vision and the paths they are pursuing. His message of heightened self-awareness serves as a reminder that understanding one’s current state and direction is crucial for personal growth and fulfillment in faith.
