Stephanie Ike Calls for Patience in Pursuing God’s Calling

Stephanie Ike has called on Christians to adopt a more patient and discerning approach when pursuing their ambitions, emphasizing the need to ensure their goals align with God’s will.

“Slow down,” she urged, highlighting the importance of not rushing into areas where God may not be leading. “Don’t be in a hurry to go where God is not,” she stressed.

She addressed a widespread misconception within the Christian community, where many believe that being a Christian guarantees success without the need for careful self-regulation. “One of the biggest misconceptions that has brought so much deception in the body is that just because I’m a Christian, it’s all going to work out,” she said.

Drawing from scripture, Ike cautioned, “There is a way that seems right to a man, but in the end, it leads to death.” She added, “Christians could fall into that too,” warning that even those who are devout may fall prey to misguided paths.

She also raised concerns about the hidden costs of pursuing unchecked ambition, asking, “What is it taking from you?” She emphasized that such pursuits can waste time and energy, and referenced the Bible’s warning, “The enemy comes to kill, steal, and destroy,” underscoring the dangers of pursuing personal desires without God’s guidance.

Reflecting on the importance of discerning one’s purpose, she questioned, “What is this season supposed to represent for your life? That you’re wasting it on ambition and calling it God?” She stressed the need to recognize when ambition is not aligned with God’s true calling.

She reassured her audience that if a pursuit is genuinely aligned with God’s will, it will succeed—but it will require patience and trust in the process. “If it’s a God thing, then know that it will work,” she affirmed. “There’s going to be a process, and God’s hand is on there.”
