Pastor Jerry Urges Christians Strengthen Spiritual Foundations

Pastor Jerry Eze recently delivered an impactful sermon, urging his congregation to assess their spiritual infrastructure and the role of prayer in their lives.

“There are people who have stored prayers, but they don’t follow them and play,” Pastor Eze remarked. He went on to point out that some individuals are living off the generational prayers their parents and ancestors made for them, saying, “There are those operating by the generational prayers that were released over their lives by their mothers and fathers.” He further emphasized that for those whose parents didn’t find God, it is important to make the decision to do so oneself. “If your parents didn’t find God, you, you can agree with me, must make that decision for yourself,” he added.

Reflecting on the struggles of his own parents in their spiritual journey, Pastor Eze shared, “It took them a while to stop going to where they used to drop feathers,” illustrating the generational challenges many people face in finding faith.

He continued to urge his congregation to focus on their personal spiritual growth, stressing the need to build a solid faith foundation. “You cannot go and follow someone who they prayed for. What’s your system? What’s your own spiritual infrastructure?” he questioned, encouraging individuals to develop their own relationship with God.

Using the example of Peter in the Bible, Pastor Eze illustrated the power of prayer and spiritual support. “Satan has desired to sift you as wheat, but I have prayed for you, that your faith should not fail. And when you are converted, strengthen your brethren,” he quoted from Luke 22:31-32, emphasizing the importance of prayer during life’s struggles. “Peter, something wants to go wrong in your life,” he said, reminding the congregation that difficulties are a part of life, but also that “no matter what happens, Peter, I have already prayed for you.”

The pastor also highlighted the significance of divine connections and mentorship, saying, “There are men. When they walk into your life, they become your supernatural infrastructure. I kid you not. Before things happen, they pray, they declare. Don’t trivialize them.”

In his closing, Pastor Eze urged his followers to reflect on their own spiritual readiness, asking, “What’s your spiritual infrastructure?” as a reminder to prioritize their faith and the role of prayer in overcoming life’s challenges.
