INTERNATIONAL NEWSSERMONS

Joel Osteen Encourages Triumph Over Negative Thoughts

In a powerful sermon, Pastor Joel Osteen stressed the importance of taking control of one’s thoughts and overcoming negativity to unlock personal growth. “The scripture says bring every thought into captivity,” Pastor Osteen reminded the congregation. “You have to lock up those negative thoughts. Don’t give them free reign in your mind.”

Pastor Osteen explained how even seemingly harmless negative thoughts can have a significant impact. “They may seem harmless, but you need to see them in a new light. They’re infectious. They’ll poison your attitude, contaminate your self-image, and cloud your vision as your thinking becomes infected,” he warned.

Pastor Osteen also encouraged individuals to confront areas where they feel inadequate, asking, “Are there areas in your life where you believed you’re not talented enough? Come from the wrong family? You could never live in that nice neighborhood?” He described these limiting beliefs as “infection,” which hold people back from realizing their full potential.

Reassuring his audience, Pastor Osteen reminded them that breaking free from these thoughts is possible. “It may have held you back, but it’s not permanent,” he stated. “The good news is you can get rid of the infection.”

Finally, Pastor Osteen urged everyone to replace negative thoughts with ones of faith, hope, and victory. “Start locking up those thoughts. Start filling your mind with thoughts of faith, thoughts of hope, and thoughts of victory,” he concluded, urging believers to rise above and live their best lives.
