Ghanaian gospel musician, Empress Gifty has announced plans to take legal measures against individuals who mock her online and those damaging her reputation for personal benefits.
Following her mother’s funeral, Empress Gifty has been at the center of social media discussions. The criticism escalated after she visited her mother’s grave to sprinkle powder, an act that some netizens labeled as attention-seeking. In response, she warned that she would sue bloggers who ridiculed her actions.

Speaking on United Showbiz, the gospel singer issued a strong caution to those using her name for publicity. “I will take action against anyone who uses my name to chase clout. I have had enough of this,” she asserted.
In a recent turn of events, Empress Gifty has once again drawn public attention, this time for undergoing a facial cosmetic procedure. After facing criticism for her new appearance, she returned to social media, reiterating her intent to sue detractors.

In a circulating video, she responded to comments claiming her new look appeared unflattering without makeup. “No makeup, of course, I am not wearing makeup. I will be taking legal action against those tarnishing my hard-earned reputation. I will issue a lawsuit against some people next week. In this year 2025, I will start making use of the law, and you people will start respecting the brand ‘Empress.’ I will make good use of the law. So those who are fond of talking about me should continue,” she declared.
Empress Gifty’s latest remarks have fueled further discussions online, with supporters backing her stance against cyberbullying, while others question whether her responses escalate the controversy. The outcome of her legal threats remains to be seen in the coming weeks.
