In a moving sermon grounded in Deuteronomy 6:4-5, Pastor Benny Hinn has underscored the importance of placing God at the center of all love.
Referring to the biblical passage, he declared, “This is the great commandment,” quoting, “Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God is one Lord, and thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart.”Pastor Hinn elaborated on this, calling for a love so profound that it leaves no room for anything else. “So your heart will have no space for anyone else or anything else,” he emphasized.
He continued, “With all thy soul will have no space for anything else or anyone else, and with all thy might. So there’ll be nothing left for anything else or anyone else.”He then explained that such an all-encompassing love for God shapes how we relate to others, including those closest to us. “God must be loved above all and all things,” he asserted. “Not just all people, but all things. Now all things are to be loved only in Him.”
Turning to the impact on family relationships, Pastor Hinn shared, “When you love family, love them only in Him. When you love friends, love them only in Him.” Connecting this to Jesus’ words, he noted, “If you love father, mother more than me, you’re not worth me because He wants us to love them in Him, not outside of Him.”
Pastor Hinn concluded with a transformative view: “Everyone we love, we must love through Jesus.” By centering all love on God, he emphasized, believers fulfill the essence of the great commandment.
