Apostle Joshua Selman has recently shared an inspiring message, using the story of Joseph to convey a profound lesson on resilience and divine transformation.
With empathy, he reminded listeners, “You know Joseph never returned back to his father’s house… He missed his home. But Joseph did not receive the miracle of turning water to wine. Joseph received beauty for ashes.”
He stressed that, at times, God replaces what’s lost with something even better, encouraging believers to release past hurts. “When God brings any replacement to your life, it will always be better, more superior in quality,” he explained, adding, “But the key is, do you have the courage to give Him the ashes?”
Acknowledging the struggles of those holding onto long-standing pain, he offered a call to surrender: “Some of you have been holding the ashes of your pain for 10 years… Jesus is coming by way of this message… Lay it down.”
Drawing on the story of the woman with the alabaster box, he urged listeners to release their attachments and trust in God’s plan for renewal. “When you lay down the ashes,” he assured, “He will hold your hands and say, come… you will see many trees,” painting a hopeful picture of growth for those willing to let go and embrace God’s gifts.
