Pastor Enoch Boamah Defends Harvest Celebrations

Pastor Enoch Boamah

Pastor Enoch Boamah has addressed the growing criticism surrounding a video that depicted church members presenting gifts such as plantains, palm oil, and even a grasscutter to their pastor during a harvest celebration.

In a thought-provoking Facebook post on October 8, 2024, he expressed his disappointment over the derogatory remarks directed at the clergy in response to the video.

“It’s disheartening to observe such malicious sentiments, which seem to stem from an inherent disdain for the clergy and, by extension, faith itself,” Pastor Boamah stated. He pointed out that pastors dedicate significant time and effort throughout the year to guide and support their congregations, only to face ridicule when congregants choose to express their gratitude once a year.

He further lamented, “When individuals choose to express gratitude once annually, they are met with ridicule and scorn. This reaction strikes me as unjustifiably critical.”

Pastor Boamah urged the community to recognize the importance of these traditions and the genuine appreciation behind them. His comments seek to promote a deeper understanding of the relationship between pastors and their congregations, advocating for respect rather than disdain during these celebratory moments.
