Apostle Michael Orokpo: Accepting the Bible is Not Enough

Apostle Michael Orokpo

Apostle Michael Orokpo has shared an insightful message highlighting the necessity of embodying the teachings of the Bible rather than just accepting them.

Addressing his congregation, he noted that while many believers acknowledge scriptural truths, they often fail to apply them in their lives.“There’s a difference between accepting what the Bible says and becoming what the Bible says,” he explained.

“You can believe it and accept it, but you have not become it.” Orokpo pointed out that although scriptures declare believers as the “righteousness of God,” many find it challenging to manifest these truths in reality.

He referred to biblical passages that illustrate the life-changing power of faith, stating, “The scripture tells you if that Spirit that raised up Jesus from the dead lives in you, He quickens your mortal body.” He also remarked, “Healing is the children’s bread,” questioning why so many believers do not experience these divine promises.

“Why does it look like my life is the opposite of everything the Bible keeps affirming?” he inquired, highlighting a significant obstacle: the lack of spiritual training. “One of the challenges is that we don’t train ourselves,” he said.

To achieve the transformation that the Bible promises, he suggested three crucial areas for believers to focus on in their spiritual development. His message encouraged Christians to go beyond simply accepting scripture and to actively work towards becoming living representations of its teachings.
