The Methodist Church Ghana is preparing to host the 9th J. Stanley-Owusu Connexional Band Festival. Scheduled to take place from Wednesday, September 11 to Sunday, September 15, 2024, at the Wesley Towers in Accra.
This highly anticipated event will showcase the talents of young musicians from across the country through its Youth Development Ministry and Association of Methodist Brigades Ghana.
The theme for the festival is “Discipleship: Growing into Christian Maturity.” Seven bands will represent various dioceses across Ghana and will compete in Category B of the competition. Ten bands will represent various dioceses across Ghana and will compete in Category A of the competition.
The bands participating in category B are as follows:
Band 1: Somanya Diocese
Band 2: Sefwi Bekwai Diocese
Band 3: Sunyani Diocese
Band 4: Wenchi Diocese
Band 5: Effiduase Diocese
Band 6: Foso Diocese
Band 7: Akyem Oda Diocese

Band 2: Winneba Diocese
Band 3: Obuasi Diocese
Band 4: Koforidua Diocese
Band 5: Tema Diocese
Band 6: Sekondi Diocese
Band 7: Northern Accra Diocese
Band 8: Cape Coast Diocese
Band 9: Accra Diocese
Band 10: Tarkwa Diocese
The festival promises to be an energetic and uplifting event. where the musical talents of young Methodists will be on display, promoting Christian values through music.
